Hey guys. Trying to put a large single turbo on. Little confused on the Evap stuff. How many 1 way check valves would be used total? 1 for passenger side valve cover I know for sure. But do you need one on the brake booster? Also, what about the vapor canister?
What about your tranny?? You have how many boosted miles on it? Did you upgrade?
If you are on the stock tranny then at 600whp it will be the next thing to bust. I'm surprised it hasn't already.
It was moving along nicely, then life happened. I went on vacation for 2 weeks/weekends and have been super busy. I do have every single item I need laying in my garage. All of the intercooler piping is there meaning cut and routed and all the couplers, just needs to be mounted. The project kind...
Totally true. I would switch to E85 though. But I have access to it so for those who don't then I guess the cam would come in pretty handy.
E85 could take you past 800hp though and I don't think it would like that in stock form.
A cam would get you more power at the same psi. However, why spend additional money when you can simply just turn up the boost if you want more power? I personally would not do that. Oil pump and fuel pump will not gain you any power, they are only if you need them at a certain power goal.
Im...
Around 600hp on low boost and closer to 700hp on high boost setting. It "could" make into the 800's but I dont want to start needing to upgrade internals like rods or even oil pump and fuel pump.
There are thousands of them out there. I'll love it.
Can you please elaborate on why you think it's so bad? And please don't say because you swamp up above your running boards in mud all the time or drive it over Mt.everest because while that is the capability of the truck...95% of guys don't...
Because I dont want to have to cut the factory Y pipes flanges off for a few reasons.
1. While I am fabricating this I still need to use my truck and need to swap the current exhaust on and off.
2. If I ever sell the truck I will pull the turbo off and place the stock exhaust back on.
3...
Does anyone know what size their collector pipe is right before the resonator flange? Mines 3.5" but you can't even buy a resonator or mid pipe that is 3.5". They are all 3" or even 2.5".
