Oh it was in Coma Mode alright! Thought maybe it caught Corona Virus. Truck was shut down only since Monday so only 3 nights. Been taking a lot of short trips lately but the last drive to Costco was 10 mins on freeway both ways.... I read that Deep Sleep Mode is activated if battery drops...
My 2017 802A SCREW was in deep sleep mode when I went to remote start her this afternoon. Ford Pass said "Deep Sleep Mode, remote functions not available, start truck manually". Ah yes start truck manually...
What that means is take the mechanical key out of the key fob once you get it open...
:mwah1:Yes my Raptor gets a lot of Wanna Be Racer attention too. Not so much now because people know what the Raptor can do but in 2017 lots. Mostly Chevy and Dodge trucks and surprisingly Econobox SUV's. The Sport Mode button should be called the Jaw Dropper. Off the line in Sport Mode...
Same thing just semantics. Either one, if it reduces functionality, is BS to me. I will not be buying a 2020 or any other year Raptor until they come out with Gen 3 V8. My early 2017 does just fine for me.
Value Engineering is just putting a Positive Spin on Decontenting. They get away with...
Its called "Value Engineering" reduce costs on things Ford thinks are least noticable. They all do it. Increase profits without raising prices. Stupid buyers (Ford thinks) won't notice. This is what happens when Bean Counters run the company.
Raise the Stock Prices, Milk the best sellers...
To all:
Those of you who assume you automatically know more than me and somehow I dont know how to describe the observed operation of my Raptor, please get off your high horses!
The Torque Steer with Pulling to Center ONLY HAPPENS IN 4A! In 2H the steering is normal.
You guys are sooooo busy...
Ill post a video and will expect an apology from you name calling Primadona's.
You don't understand the real observations that I'm posting and you say I'm the stupid one?
Jeez! Chill out and get a life!!! 5th Grade is OVER!
Well dude, it certainly feels like front bias with that torque steer the steering wheel literally snaps to center if I let go of the wheel in a turn. My observations are not made up. Others here on FRF have made the same observations on 2017 Raptors:
1. Center Biased Torque Steer in 4A
2...
Hey Twizzle, maybe you are the Squatch. Never heard a cockier attitude name calling member than you. Im not making anything up. This is exactly what I have OBSERVED IN REALITY.
So please stop telling me what I am observing until you observe and confirm it OK. Your unconfirmed OPINION is...
⁰:goofy_batman:
Ill post video. I don't know exactly why the front wheels spin, on wet when rear wheels are on dry but they do. Maybe its a traction control thing forcing power to the front. I DO KNOW what I'm talking about. You have not observed sh-t. So again until you do Shut your...
Jeez why get personal? I KNOW EXACTLY WHAT IM TALKING ABOUT! ITS MY TRUCK!!!! IM NOT SOME DUMBSHIT YAHOO!!! To get the rear axle into Low 4WD ALL Raptors go through the center differential gears. A true AWD "Clutch Pack" in the center differential can be biased front or rear or true 100%...
My norm is 400 miles a tank on 91 octane. Highest I can get in Las Vegas. Thats in city driving with mild Firestone M/T 2 mud tires. 13.5 mpg is best I can get in town driving since switching to mud tread. I can still pull 19 mpg @ 70 mph on freeway level no headwind. 80 will drop it to 15...
So the power to the rear driveshaft does not go through the transfer case? Indeed it DOES because that's how you get low 4x4 at the rear axle and that's why there is a transfer case differential lock. When that 4x4 lock button is pushed or when you are in 2H there is a direct connection to the...
Front Bias on dry pavement - really. Put rear wheels on dry pavement and front wheels in water crossing street at stop sign. Front wheels spin until back axle locks in with a thunk.
There's a corner on the way home where there's always water running across the street at the Stop Line. Fronts...
Not too heavy in 4A for me. I like the better steering resoonse and how the wheel returns to center quickly. The Torque Steer is balanced, not pulling right or left. It pulls to center around turns. I think its great plus better gas mileage in 4A front bias.
I run it in 4A all the time now...
Yes, I agree that things have changed in how 4A is configured probably more than once. For my early 2017 SCREW with 802A Torsen front diff and Tech Pkg I swear the truck is front wheel drive biased in 4A. The Torque Steer is excessive at all speeds like someone said - Strong Arm excessive on...
Talk only to the Service Manager. Ask for a Senior Tech to resolve the issues. The dealers cannot find good techs anymore. Most new techs have limited mechanical skills. They want to just plug in the Sun Computer and have the computer fix it.
But don't accept that Sh^t work. If they broke...
