Anybody know if the tweaks made to the Raptor R transmission will make it's way to the standard Raptor? Not the durability aspect, but just whatever they did to make it shift so fast...?

Of all the many reasons to get a Raptor, I never knew Torsen was so high up on the list.

Will the tranny be able to handle this and/or are you planning on beefing it up in any way?

Agreed - they still used the 10r80 in the R, which is rated at ~590 ft lbs of torque. They *did* beef it up tho to accomodate the v8's extra torque, but I bet they did the bare minimum (probably along with the rest of the drive train). They should have just used the 10r140 from Super Duty.

I thought all Raptor R's were essentially fully loaded...? What do you mean no heated steering wheel? Did you opt out of the moonroof? Based on some of the recent youtube reviews, it seems the moonroof and power tailgate are a combo (IE if you opt out of moonroof, no power tail gate). Wonder...

It's the same engine yes, but exact...? Peak torque comes in 500 rpms sooner, so I would expect some changes.

I've read/heard rumors of only 1800-2500 Raptor Rs being produced. However with the GT500 being discontinued, shouldn't this mean the entire Predator production line is essentially dedicated to the Raptor R then? Perhaps we'll see more produced than originally anticipated? Thoughts?

You get your color choice, then you can choose to opt out of the moonroof and also opt out of graphics. That's it.

C&D reports that the Raptor R is 5950 lbs (8.5 lbs per hp) and the TRX is 6350 lbs. (9 lbs per hp).

I wish this were accurate, but the hand built nature of the 5.2 just reinforces this will probably be low volume.

Someone on the FB Raptor group made a post recently about their dealership low balling them on a sell or trade with their 18 or 19 SCAB. They were asking opinions and if the numbers were acceptable. Cant' recall the specifics but they were getting raped yet basically everyone agreed he wasn't...

Would you guys take your Raptors to a mud bog event? Never been to one but it looks fun. Not sure I wana have mud caked on my underside for years tho. Or mud in the interior. Would you guys go and/or have any tips for a first timer?
