These are made in USA and I believe are the original design. If you want to buy a cheap, Chinese knockoff to save $10, then go for it but that’s not really being a good American!
I also got free shipping direct through BuildRight but Amazon has them for the same $29 with free prime shipping.
Customtrucksolutions.com You can get a completely custom painted replacement emblem. Super easy to swap out and they are extremely high quality painted OEM emblems
Thanks for the offer ASars. I just ordered the kit and it will most likely be a slow install for me too. So don't worry about me. Attack your suspension, that's wayyy more important. I may have a few questions for you but it probably won't be too soon. Thanks again!
ASars, looks awesome. I love your placement of the push start button. How long would you say the install took? If I got it installed at a professional shop, how many hours would you say I'm looking at paying for the install?
Thanks!
Hey bud,
I think Josh might be on vacation. I ordered a few things last week and haven't heard anything yet either.
If you're on Facebook. Look up Josh Yiatras. He's the owner/operator. 99% of the time he's the best vendor that I've dealt with. Give him a little time or look him up on...
Yeah bigrig, they are 37x12.50x17 BFG KO2's on Method NV's. I have Boatecs now but I had them with stock fenders. They fit just fine if you hammer the pinch welds and only do mild to moderate off-roading.
Just for comparison's sake...here's my truck at BOTTOM perch on Giesers and Deaver +2's with weight in the bed. I prefer the slightly lower look overall, just my preference.
Just a quick update to share. I took a long-ish trip and wasn't happy with the ride of my truck. So I took off the 1" drop shackles that I had on...the truck rides night and day better with the stock shackles.
I have tried everything possible to slightly lower the rear of the truck. I tried...
Thanks dlbb, I actually just moved down to San Juan area and have been looking for a good, trustworthy mechanic. Do they do it all or just mainly tires/alignment?
For future reference, RPG and SVC are both great shops in Orange County that wouldn't charge you near that much...but yeah, it can definitely be done at home for nothing. Might want to get an alignment afterwords, but that's maybe $100 tops. Good luck!
I've messed with the rear height a lot. I've had the ready lift blocks, lowering shackles at 1", 1.5", and 2" drop. All in all, don't drop the rear of your truck more than 1". It'll start riding like shit. Especially when you start having the rear lower than the front, ride goes out the window...
Walter fights me on this...but i swear that the McNeil fenders that DezertRacer has are a 2' rise but no additional flare. Id call/email them and look into it. Every pic that I see they always look stock width.
That would depend on how level you like the look of the truck. Giesers on mid perch and stock height rear (+2 Deavers) will sit dead level. Some people say that mid perch is level with stock height rear but it's not. The setup with Geiser mid truly is level with the rear. Some guys like the rake...
What the hell, man! Just when I'm about to move down to San Juan/San Clemente, you get outa dodge! Saw you driving a few weeks back where the 55 turns into Newport Blvd. Truck looked great. I woulda honked but was in the wife's SUV and didn't want to looks like a random psyco. Welcome to the...
Thanks JanT! Who woulda thought I could ask someone half way around the world to take pics of their truck and get pics within the hour! Got to love technology! Haha. Thanks for taking those for me. That is one bad ass truck!!!
I was told by a very reputable raptor shop that the ADD frame gusset is not a great idea cause it messes with the crumple zones if you ever are hit badly from the rear. Over stiffening the frame there will cause other parts of the frame to bend that weren't designed to in that event and may...
