Thanks for your advice Joe, I am already on mid perch.
Powerplant 9.5 comes with 125' of 5/16" steel. Need to do some looking around, but am wondering if a local shop might spool me synthetic and give me a hundred $ credit for the brand new steel they take off. Synthetic is the way to go...
I like your setup Yukon. I'll be going with the 9.5k Powerplant. Haven't found anyone on here who's mounted one yet, seems like some speculation whether or not it will fit.

Thanks fellas, I'll definitely check out the Rough Country & Rogue Racing mounts. I didn't realize I may lose my factory tow hooks, want to keep those if I can.
I found posts about the Warn Powerplant HD (that's the 12k version), but not much about the Powerplant HP (9.5k version).
On the "other" forum I found one comment from a guy who said he mounted the HP behind his grill, but he didn't provide much detail or visual evidence. I then contacted...
That's a shitty position for a business to be in, especially a small business where each job has a bigger impact. I've re-read this entire post and can see why an owner might be like WTF!? Getting blamed and bad mouthed by some MFer for some shit that was already broke, that would piss me off...
The shop owner called me today and opened the conversation by basically saying they're sorry for shit happening. They have an OEM windshield ready for replacement, quoted a low number and would like to split the windshield cost and complete the tint. I felt bad right away and said I've thought...
Haha, you're F.O.S IcePrick. Your mind is fast and inaccurate at judging people. I've already said twice that I don't think they're responsible. In fact, I told the owner yesterday I don't think they're responsible b/c it was already chipped when I brought it in. I did refute the notion...
Why should I automatically know that placing a thin piece of film on the window is going to stress it?
A "window specialist" took a heat gun to my windshield on a 45 degree F day after I showed them a chip and you want me to apologize? I think not.
I'm still taking responsibility but I'm not...
This morn in better light I saw a side window tint scratch and my rearview mirrow is bouncing around like crazy because it wasn't properly re-attached. Also I can see where they cleaned the windshield and it's smeared and still dirty, so had they actually installed the tint it would've gone...
Lot's of good comments. I have my comprehensive insurance policy set at a $500 deductible and unfortunately they can't help me for anything less; I checked with them and didn't say anything about how the windshield cracked. The unnanimous opinion is that I should basically just suck it up so...
I appreciate your feedback guys and that's a great suggestion JayneCobb. My thing is that I showed them the chip and they basically said no prob. I didn't know that heat is used for tint installs. I'm not a window expert and know that dramatic temperature changes turn small cracks into large...
Was having tint installed today at a reputable shop. While they were prepping the windshield a small rock chip opened into a foot long crack. Prior to installation I pointed out the chip. Secretary told me anything would've made it crack, even the windshield wipers! I called b.s. Owner...
Pulled off the Raptor emblem and both the 6.2L's. Worked best for me when the outside temp was about 65F. Too cold and they were difficult to remove, too hot and it left a lot of glue on the truck. Pulled off the emblems, then the tape peeled off pretty easily without leaving much residue...
Each time I get in the truck, my phone connects through bluetooth and a voice reminds me 911 assist is turned off and I have to press a button on the nav screen. It's fucking annoying. Any ideas? Please don't tell me to turn it on.
Thanks
Sorry, I see this has already been discussed. I...
Did your past truck have a backup camera? Once you get comfortable with them you can manuever within inches of obstacles. But rough terrain sometimes makes that more difficult due to the vehicles momentum.
