I installed a JB4, on my truck. It added noticable HP and Torque and if i need to get warranty work done it takes like 5 minutes to remove and leaves no trace.
Technically the Mexicans have been paying a ton of money in Tarrifs, so they are paying for the wall, just not directly. I’m a Trump supporter and bought my 17 at msrp back in 17. Not a great deal but i was happy with it. Anyways, best to keep the forum about trucks and not politics.
If your truck already idles good and doesn’t surge/hesitate when accelerating then Likely you wont notice anything. My truck from day one would at times have a rough idle and often when doing a hard acceleration you would feel a hesitaion like misfire. I replaced the plugs with the sp542’s and...
My truck was on stock tune until recently and it had a hesitation from the first day i picked it up from the dealer. The hesitation is gone now. Honestly i probably could have gapped the stock plugs down and achieved the same affect but the plugs were only $50, super easy to install and now that...
I hust wanted to thank the original poster for trying this! My truck has had a hesitation from day one. I finally got around to installing these plugs, made sure all were gaped at .028 and drove it. Big difference. No more hesitation under load and the idle is even smoother. I checked my stock...
I also have a Jb4 on the truck which does in fact add power. And yes combined with the pedal max the placebo affect works quite well. I never said the pedal max added power, but it does make the truck more enjoyable to drive. You disagree, great. You drive and enjoy your truck the way you like...
Always atleast one jack ass on these forums! Yea because pushing a gas pedal in a 6000 pound truck requires so much driving skill! The medal max changes the ramp rate on the throttle opening giving a much better feel when accelrating from a stop. I prefer that feel because that is what im used...
Well I’ll admit i was expecting more when i first got the truck on the acceleration front. I have a Mustang Terminator as my other car so the truck felt sluggish. I bought a JMS pedal Max and leave it set at 100%. It made a big difference in the acceleration feel. I then also added a JB4 which...
Well not being totally sealed you will be drawing in hot air from the engine bay but doubt that would cause your concern. Having said that, its very easy to swap back to the stock intake to make sure you rule it out.
Its hard to tell from the pics but is that afe intake open to the engine bay or does it only draw air from the top like the stock airbox? If nothing else i would swap the stock box back on and drive it before running out and buying more parts to possibly compound the issue.
Ive been driving onnit for a couple weeks now on map 1 and it was a noticeable increase in hp/tq. I may try aome of the other maps but for now, 1 feels pretty good!
In the end, if or when you took your car in for a warranty repair, with the jb4 removed, and they did have logs that showed the boost was elevated beyond stock, how could they prove it was the fault of the jb4? I mean you could have a sticking wastegate actuator, or glitchy boost sensors that...
