Yes I understand that. What I was getting at is why is Ford rating the payload lower than likely the maximum should be.... Is it so you don't overload the truck and take it off road? As I have been able to consistently get away with loading the truck up to around 2k lbs without issues on...

I was doing that for a while, but that got a bit hairy with a 450. One ramp to run up, and another for the bike was well worth the investment for me. I got two of the narrow ones which fold up.

Guys, lately I have been absolutely blown away with my 2018 F150 Raptor. Up here in Canada an optioned out Raptor at MSRP tops out at $88k CND, which is exactly what I paid for mine. I told myself if I bought this truck I would not baby it, I would learn to accept the scratches and dings it...
