There's a rubber dome (the nipple we speak of) that you can cut into if you can reach it. If that doesn't work, try pulling the bottom of the grommet out (you don't need to pull the entire grommet out, but no harm if you do). That should provide enough of an opening to push your wire thru...

The large Firewall Grommets... (1) either cut the nipple with a box-cutter (in an x or + pattern) or (2) to keep from cutting you can pull the bottom of the grommet out, route the wire on the bottom of the rubber, and then push the grommet back into the firewall. I had to do the last option on...

That turbo v6 will never have the potential as a supercharged 6.2. If you like the '17, great...but if it retains the anticipated v6, then it'll always be a 2nd place truck.

I used Quick Muffler in Franklin on some other vehicles...if I needed extensive work done on my Raptor exhaust, that's who I'd use. Not a big shop and they keep their attention on 1 vehicle at a time. Their hours on Saturday are 8-noon. 121 7th Ave S Franklin, TN (615) 790-2385...

My Methods do the same thing. If it bothered me, I would probably put a few rubber foot pads in the groove to disrupt the centrifugal force. I'd go with something as tall as the lip and less "round", but this will give you the idea...basically water speed bumps.
