Sup! Kyle,
I live in Orange, SoCal.
Searched long and hard last year and beginning of this year.
Here’s my take;
1) Villa Ford in Orange - Complete idiots.
They had 45+ Raptors sitting on their lot when I sat down to negotiate on a 2019 801a. MSRP $71k (yeah right) and “discounted to $69k
The...
This is one helluva truck build!
I live in Orange, think I’ve seen your truck a few times around Costa Mesa, not too many Raptors with camper shells.
Anyhoo, in all honesty you’re waiting for a private party cash buyer. Anyone looking to purchase through financing is gonna hit problems. Outta...
To the OP, welcome to the Raptor forums.
$33k out the door isn’t terrible but far better deals can be had right now.
2013 with 100k+ miles I would check KBB & NADA bottom book trade in value.
Dealers usually pay less.
Keep looking and good hunting!
I understand your hesitation with such a new vehicle being put back on the block.
However, many, many people are handing over their keys and taking “salty baths” on vehicles they could barely afford 18months ago and now they are up the schitter creek with no job or massive losses to their small...
For what it’s worth, my neighbor bought a 2010, SCAB, Black, 6.2, 802a with 53k miles.
Everything was clean inside and outside.
All maintenance done + new shocks at 44k miles.
He paid $27.5k
Orange County, SoCal.
This was 4 months ago...
I would take $26k and move on, 6months from now your...
Rough time of year to sell any vehicle not just a Raptor. I’d take it to carmax, get a solid offer and then adjust price accordingly above that to shift it.
People still want these trucks, unfortunately the ‘tier 1” buyers ( cash or great credit) are all but gone. Now is the dawn of the tire...
Back to the OP’s point. I agree Gen2 Raptor’s exclusivity is gone, dealers got waaayyy too greedy in 2016/2017/2018/2019 and are reaping what they’ve sown.
It’s still a great truck with no TRUE challenger in the 1/2 ton class. However you slice it, it’s a 60k - 70k truck new. It’s gonna lose...
Yeah,
Villa Ford in Orange does the classic bait, switch and “upper manager pinball” game.
Not impressed and not gonna buy one from them.
A lot of other dealers were straight to the point and would not budge a dollar below MSRP.
My problem is I want an 802a, bead lock wheels, no graphics...
Final,
Can you share some of the leads or better places you found?
Ken Grody Ford and Villa Ford still seem to think they can charge more than the rest of the USA.
Thanks
Okay, I’m prefacing this post with, I’m looking Hard at 2019 / 2020 Raptors. Not trolling but I do understand where the OP is coming from.
I currently own a 2017 Tundra Platinum- PRO 4x4. ( Platinum with all the TRD Pro parts)
The Tundra gets 13 MPG around town, 17-18 on the highway if I baby...
Well after months of lurking and researching I’m finally looking at pulling the trigger on SoCal truck.
Crazy dealer mark ups are gone.
Demand has softened. A LOT.
I’m looking at a 2019, SCREW, 801a plus few extras.
Invoice is $65,103
MSRP $70,015
Advertised price
$68,988
They offered...
