I went to install mine today and naturally ran into some issues. First I couldn’t get the old bolt sleeve out and had to cut the sleeve off the new bolt.
After getting the bracket installed, I discovered that Ford included the wrong input hose. Hopefully they can send a new one quickly.
Thanks for the insight. I’m going to have my local shop ensure the springs are seated properly, all bolts are torqued properly and go from there. Given the number of posts referencing a bolt not properly torqued, I’d think that was the cause and necessarily bad UCAs. I’m only at 53k.

I have the same issue again (2017 truck). Had the TSB done. The issue came back. Had the TCM replaced. The issue came back again.
Hard shifts to drive and hard downshifts from 4th to 3rd. They seem to go away once the transmission temp comes up.

It’s a little of time to tape off and cover the bumper. But some light sanding and a few coats of spray bedliner later.

Finally got some cosmetic work done. Painted the skid plate with black bed liner and repainted the exhaust tips with high temp paint.

I had the TSB performed on my 2017. Really improved the shifting but about 7 months later it developed a hard shift from park to drive as well as a hard downshift from 4th to 3rd.
I took the truck in last week and had the main control assembly replaced. It’s a whole new truck now...
