I wish I’d kept the pics. They look like a rectangular piece of channel steel that slips over the frame horns with a backing plate on one side that the bumper bolts on to. The bumper I bought required the first 10 or 12” of the frame horn to be cut off.

No. I paid for everything up front. I’ve finally received everything except the light bracket that holds the 11 Baja Design lights. The lights are mounted on the bracket and the bracket is mounted onto the center space on the front of the bumper.

Pull green plug. Pry up (not off) white socket lock. About 2mm. Release gray socket with tiny flathead screwdriver. Tape with electrical tape. Use 1" long wire jumper from pin one to two. Push white lock back in place. Plug green plug back in. Put module back in place. Done: Found the first...

Good point. No one has specifically said they are doing it w/o the diode with no ill effects. Sounds like it wouldn’t hurt to play it safe and use the diode. Thanks for the advice and the diode links. Do you shrink wrap over the “regular type” diode once you’ve got it connected?
