Have you tried shutting off the Wifi on Sync and doing a restart? Might have to do a factory reset. I'm running v 2.3 on 2018 and it is working fine. I'd really like to see Apple Carplay add Waze to the apps allowed on these screens. Right now it is only available through Android play.
