Very easy answer…The drop in will slide around and tear over time. The spray in liners dampen road noise and the non skid keeps your crap from sliding around. Spend the extra money and get the Line X. You will not be disappointed !!!

Agree with #2 response, NO comparison,,,i have the line x and sometimes carry sharp tools in the back , unsecured , as in axe , splitting mall and ditch blades , o effect on the line x, no chipping. The only thing I must watch is when I carry my golf clubs in the back with out the heads coverd as the line x will actually scratch them. So if you think about it , that actually a compliment to ruggedness of the line x.

ONe thing they didn't mention is that the general consensus is that the factory spray in is not as good as a LineX. Some members have reported wearing and fading after a year or two. I too have a LineX spray in and it has been fantastic.

I have the drop in hard liner.... I prefer it over spray in liners. They can take quite of abuse and not beat up the bed. I had one on my 92 F150 and the only rot I had was the bed bolts. It actually came from under the truck not between the bed liner.

My stock spray liner has held up to abuse, but it has faded a little after being outside almost a year and a half.

I've used Linex in quite a few trucks and have had zero issues with it...Super tough and will definitely aid in rust prevention. It seems to be quite a bit sturdier than the factory spray.

I had Rhino Liner in my previous truck, and I have Line-X on the bed and rear wheel wells of the Raptor. No comparison in my opinion. The Line-X product is more durable.

I had a bed rug that held up beautifully. Never any mostiure problems and never ever came loose. Now I have a bed cover so the bed rug is out of the elements. If you don't have a bed cover I would certainly go with line X. However if you have a bed cover I would always go with bed tred or bed rug over line x.
