RECON - HID Raptor Kit

Just bought a Raptor 2011 new vehicle, I was surprised that the Raptor didn't come with HID's... I think someone said that technically, they're illegal because the truck sits so high, right?

My point of this thread was to ask about the price... $209? That's it?

This seems VERY affordable... I've seen other aftermarket HID kits for other vehicles go for $800 bucks or more!

WHY is this kit so affordable? Is this something that I can install myself in an afternoon following the directions, or do I need to have a shop do it for me?

So what's in the above picture... that's all I need, right? Nothing else? Complete kit?

[Raptor Retrofit]

Thats a good kit, similar to the retro solutions I installed. Yes that all you need, install is not to bad if your somewhat technically inclined. All the wiring is included, you need to run power to battery, ground and mount ballast's. I mounted them behind the headlights. I can find some pics of my install if you get it and need help.

Also Ive tried 5, 6 and 8000K bulbs. 5 is diamond white, 8 has a blueish tint and 6 is white with a very slight blueish tint. I recommend the 6000K.
