Rear leaf - different size bolts?

Thanks for mentioning that, I did just that and there's literally 1/4 inch to spare. Is it easy to cut it off? What's the best method (or maybe I could have a local shop do it).

I can't imagine puncturing the tank out there in the boonies, that would be a buzzkill

On my Truck the bolt was almost touching the tank.
I used a hacksaw with a quality blade and plenty of cutting oil.
Screw the nut on to the bolt, cut the end of the bolt without threads, use a file or sander to clean up the cut, remove the nut and install.
