Wiring complete lights Now ON - Switched the spots so that the amber D2s were inner most, 20" on and 40" fitted with amber filters spaced apart - took the truck for a run
Got out in a quiet street and switched everything on
Well All I can say is the 4 Duelly D2s are more than enough, the 20 and 40 equate to a welders flash - the brightness is obscene,
For anyone thinking of Purchasing any of Rigids products beware - SunGlasses ARE required at all times !!! - None of the pics posted on this forum or anywhere match the brutal onslaught of white light.......In reality these lights will make daisy grow in Death Valley
Fitting
Well what can i say - Rigid supply a magazine suppliment for Raptors - How cool is that ??
All three kits are clear, understandable and concise, no ******** or ambiguity
40" E series - easy fitment, but I seemed to have mislaid the fitting bolts- I had stock of stainless capscrews so made that all work - watch the fins on the back of this bad boy - I had to turn the clip on the oil cooler to stop it scraping the aluminium during the install
20" Lower mount(under Number plate)
Easy - sharp drills required, the hardest part was the bumperette re-fitment
D2 Driving lamp kit - fog mount holes
Bumper alignment IS required - this will not fit unless you adjust the bumper - a second set of hands really helps on this kit to aid in setup - and make sure your brackets are on the lights the correct way around !!
Wiring
I have a real thing for wiring - I like clean lines, braided sheathing, shrink wrap and soldered joints, - Basically embarrass any master fitter at ford or any other dealership, therefore I spend a little more time ensuring my setup is clean, and above all bulletproof for the life of the lights - crimps and scotchlocks are the work of satan himself and have in reality are the reason most setups fail
Sorry need to go - my wife just walked into the living room wearing nothing but her birthday clothes - Back tomorrow !!
