Jersey to Vegas

I am heading out to Colorado to run the alpine loop with a few other raptor owners the end of the month. I am planning to drive to Vegas first from NJ then back to Colorado. Anyone have any recommendations for any off road routs to take from say Utah or New Mexico to Vegas ?

Any help would be appreciated.
