My 2010 6.2 has the backup camera in the rear view mirror (no nav) and ever since I got it sometimes it would be either flickering or blue screen, or sometimes it would be totally fine. I put dielectric grease on the connector and for about a month it was great. Now it does it again and I’ve tried replacing the harness to no avail. I checked FORScan and the APIM has a U3000 intermittent system internal failure. I’m assuming that’s the problem but can’t find any other ones, not even used. The odd thing is the camera seems to work more often based on temperature. Cold weather=it regularly works, hot=usually blue screen. Anyone got ideas for what the problem could be? I assume APIM but again I can’t find one. If someone has a link to one that would be great too.

the solder joints in the camera go bad. i never pulled codes, but my camera would work intermittenly and lots of research showed it was in the camera. had a friends mother inspect my camera under microscope (insert small p€nis joke here) since she works in the microchip industry. she saw the broken joints. however the kicker was i broke a chip when opening the camera up. sliced through it with a knife. she saw that too, haha. unfortunately the chip has no markings so even though she could fix my camera, she didnt know what part to get. i left it at that. havent gotten a camera yetz as i dont drive the truck much. $443 for a camera seems a bit over the top. havent tried aftermarket ones yet, because anytime you replace a camera, the truck needs to be programmed or neither camera will work.
