i think most if not all new vehicles are smog exempt for the first 5 years. my 14 was exempt. do what you want to it and just return back to stock in 5 years, ir find a "good" smog shop

Are you sure? Just did a smog recently and they put it on rollers, sniffer, visual, the full thing.

I took my car in, they plugged it into the computer, popped the hood. And that was it.

Uhh, you don't need a smog check until year 6... so I wouldn't worry about it.

Ahhhh they changed it for 2000+ MY and newer vehicles.
