i found a couple of places on the east coast who gave me quotes for the real retrofit but the prices were $300 to $500 more than yours. would you post or pm me with the name and contact for the vendor who quoted you $700.... i was starting to think that io would buy some aftermarket projectors then add the retro soultions kit... the infinity fx and the mini moto projectors retrofitted into the stock lights are very nice and what would prefer to do....

lastly does anyone know where i could find a set of the stock lights for sale for a reasonable price?

I have a pair of stock lights for sale, but assume that shipping them to the US will make the price less reasonable.
I installed the Recon projector headlights, mounted a HID set in the projectors and really like the result, "lookwise" and "lightwise"

I like the 6000k, I don't think they are too blue. When they are warming up they are really blue but after that the light looks really nice. If I get 55w they will be 6000k too.

I agree, Ive tried 5, 6 and 8 and found 6000K to be perfect.

I have the 55w 6000k and they are great. They don't have a blue look at all. At least I don't think so. I had to lower the headlight assembly just a touch so I wouldn't blind anybody and it worked out perfect. The cutoff is the same as the stock lights but 5 times brighter at least. Retro-solution is where I purchased mine. Never been flashed since I lowered them so I guess they aren't blinding anyone.

Its just pages of people complaining. they all talk about cut off. The cut off is the EXACT same as the halogen bulbs. It cant change since the whole housing is still the same, which controls where the light shines.

Sorry slim, but you're wrong. These housings just aren't made for HIDs; the reflecting and focus is all wrong. Not to mention it's illegal to put HIDs in non HID compliant housings.

Those HIDs need specific reflecting and baffling in order to prevent light from going where it's not supposed to.

It was a place in TX. My roommate was the one who found them I'll try to ask him tomorrow about it if i remember. Would really like some actually projectors but i dont want the cheap projectors. I mean if your going to get crappy projectors to replace the headlights that are crappy you might as well just throw in some HIDs and call it good. That way you didnt pay alot for crap. :ROFLJest:
