What Moab trip was that? I only recall FrogSlinger's trip there (it was the Frogger right?). Can you throw me a link to that trip and the pics?

These have been floating around for nearly a year. Rumor had it these were 6.2 test trucks that the SVT guys were putting thru their paces. I don't think it was ever 'official' news. I've only ever seen references to it in forum form.

Each tool has it's purpose. I'd much rather run the crossover road in my Raptor than a jeep. It just depends on the situation.

those pics are from a ford sponsored event for auto journalists to review the new 2012 changes that were supposed to turn the raptor into the ultimate 4x4 (torsen front diff)...

im gonna have to agree on all the points made in this thread, unless you are running some proper gear on your rig (trimmed panels, exo cage, etc) you are most likely going to drive away from some of the trails mentioned here with some custom body work/paint.

(exo cage not required!)

Of course you guys are right regarding the rock crawling (in)abilities of the Raptor. But... I seem to recall a certain Moab trip...

Not sayin its a good idea... just sayin...

Ershim Dusy is a great trail. Can a Raptor make it? Probably, but not without some serious damage.
I wouldn't take a Raptor on Ershim Dusy, and I wouldn't prerun a race with my old Jeep TJ.
Use the right tool for the job...

Good thread especially for the guys who don't have much/any off road experience as I think there are some pointers here that, if listened to, will help folks save their Raptors from $eriou$ damage.

AMEN! After seeing what a Raptor can do - I really do not believe will look at a Jeep again. Sorry Jeep owners - but there is no comparison at all.

yuppp looks like what i do around here...... in the tighest parts they has to be bypass

well get aftermarket frame horn cut humpers and rear dove you got angles sorted it out. if you take it easy enough youll make it, just dont go between 2 big trees lol thats the only part id avoid...

other than that sounds like a fun time and someone i do here couple times a month! its a different style of offroading...... 4lo, slow, and technical
