Did you leave the smaller muffler/resonator that is up towards the front?

Those on this thread who have installed have so far left the resonator on. I heard a lot of rasp on another system when someone took it off.

Yup. This is just a cut out the factory and put in the mwa. Just need the pipe sections due to the reduced size.

I was surprised how much heavier the stock muffler is.

What do you mean? The stock muffler is restrictive or the Gibson?

I went to have my new muffler welded in and Midas wanted 250....I have the muffler and pipe! I left and just ordered the catback Gibson!

and yes the stock muffler is very heavy
