The FORD tailgate will be an option.

From its striking looks to its advanced technology, Raptor has always been on the cutting edge. Sticking to the Raptor recipe for success, the next-generation model will continue to be the leader in performance and style, with its unique fenders, signature front grille, standard dual exhaust, available new LED lighting, available 360-degree camera and available imposing tailgate.

Do you think the tailgate would fit on my 2013

I have my doubts. The 2015+ F-150s are 1" wider than the 2009-2014 body style. So if that one inch of width difference is throughout the entire body, including the distance between the bedsides, it may make a difference.

I gotta think they'll package the tailgate plaque with something you'll want.

Where did you get 1" wider?

Please read this:

This is interesting. I was just trying to figure out the width of the 2017 Raptor and this is what I found:

- Last Gen F-150 is 79.2 inches wide >> My Source
- 2014 Raptor is 86.3 inches wide >> My Source

So as you can tell above, 86.3 - 79.2 = 7.1 inches (We were always told that the Raptor was 7 inches wider than the F-150)

- 2015 F-150 is 79.9 inches >> My source
- Ford has said that the 2017 Raptor will be 6 inches wider than the 2015 F-150 so 79.9 + 6 = 85.9 inches.

So the 2017 Raptor seems to be not as wide as the current Raptor. To be exact .4 inches narrower (86.3 - 85.9).

Please note the widths above do NOT include the side mirrors.

The rounding must have been the difference. 79.2 to 79.9 from 2014 to 2015 is an inch wider (rounded) according to Ford. And then Ford stated that the new Raptor would be 6" wider than the 2015 F-150.

I follow your math and it looks like you're correct once it's broken down to tenths of inches. The only difference is if the 2017 Raptor is actually more than 6" wider and Ford is just rounding again.
