So I got my proclip and RAM stuff in today. So far so good, they didn't include the monitor support like I asked so I'm going to have to live without it for now but hopefully I won't need it too badly this trip.

If you decide to install one of these I found a Bic Pen top was really helpful applying opposite pressure to the nut inside the housing.


You can tell that this is a new design and the laptop tray is a much older design (not much different from what I had on my Excursion 6 years ago). This new model only requires a screwdriver and has some clever tricks for installing the springs. It is smaller so its perfect for netbooks, tablets, monitors etc and has a few different tabs depending on what you want to mount on it. Lower weight translates to less movement/shaking. I also have to be ready to accept any size monitor a director/dp might ask for.


Monitor attached with battery bracket still attached on rear (allows access to menu buttons located on the rear of the monitor.

also...throw a microfiber in your console and wipe down all the dang fingerprints on your nav screen every now and then hahaha
sorry i guess im a little ocd about that in my vehicles LOL
but it does help cut down the glare when its clean

I thought I was the only one who noticed the prints lol! I hate having prints there, and on the stupid chrome shifter and door handles. The shifter especially bothers me!

What I say truck love... I mean I LOOOOVE my truck!
I never notice them when the screen is on otherwise I'd use the microfiber cloth I have in the arm rest... haha, guess I'm not quite as ****, though an FULL detail is definitely in order after this trip. Ugh, you can do a science experiment on the front of my truck, hell one of the lights!
