About 6 months ago, my truck started displaying a black screen upon startup. There must have been a Synch 3 update around the same time, because that's when I started to have to click "Ok" to prompts that magically started appearing.

I need to reset the display to get CarPlay to work, every single time. Is there a known fix or TSB for this ?

Thanks

if you’re running automatic updates, don’t.

I’d get a USB of the current sync version and reinstall it fresh. if that doesn’t work you could try a master reset.

My display started getting wacky a month or 2 ago. I ended up needing a new module. Try leaving the battery unhooked overnight. If that doesn't help, like Smurf said, try doing the master reset, and then the soft reset afterwards.

There was a Sync update a few months ago to address the prompt and other issues. Try checking your VIN via Sync update page.
