BEDRUG.
I just got done loading my truck and it is awsome to be able to work in the back and have a padded work surface . No stains here either . You could always Scotch gaurd it as a extra preventative measure .
Either padded surface or a layer of skin sandpapper.

spilled several quarts of dirty motor oil on my bedrug, left it there for several weeks not wanting to deal with it, sprayed some degreaser on it and it wiped right up, no stain left whatsoever. very durable!

Question for the Retrax folks.. how much room do you lose at the front when it's open? Can you only open it part way and lock it in that position? Also, if you needed to take it out, how much of a pain is that?

Thanks,

~BGM

1) I would say overall, you loose about 10 inches.

2) Yes, you can "lock" it in ANY open position you want.

3) Easy to remove..4 clamps and a second set of hands and its off.

Retrax is awesome!!! Love mine.

Thanks Blue.. Appreciate it.

That loss of space is the only major issue I have with that system. Ten inches is a significant amount of space when you have such a short bed.

I'm leaning toward the Bakflip at the moment but ask me again in a couple days.. lol I change my mind on this rather frequently. I think either way I'll be happy.

ditto on that. my buddy had one on his SRT-10, but the amount of space it takes up when open on such a small bed is way too much for me.

Just to reiterate on the 'comfort' aspect of the bedrug: you can sleep on it, and if you've got some sort of bed cover now you've got a make shift tent. I've found that to be an extreamly helpful benefit I didn't realize it would afford when first buying it. Pretty cool.
