My husband has a 2011 Raptor with 45,000 miles and in excellent condition. After taking it out west for 2 years, he has put it in storage and gets it out once every 2 weeks to drive a round trip of 40 miles. He said if he sold it today, he would only lose a few thousand dollars from the price he gave for it. I said he was crazy. Do you?

Idk I sold one of mine a few weeks ago. 2013 with 38k miles and sold it for 1000 less than the purchase price. So it doesn't sound unreasonable. It did take me 12 weeks to sell it at that price. I'am a little opposite of Enron though. I determine the value of the asset as the price I could sell it for in 24hrs not the top dollar in my books. 24hr sale 32k for ya, 12 weeks 41 due to the year. This would assume a California market.

Given this is only your second post i am thinking your husband is out on travel with his in truck just sitting around with all of those costly MODs that could have been spent on you and your thinking of selling it. ouch...

Your husband is not crazy of what he said, he is right. But he is crazy that he wants to sell it, or does he????

The question is what did he tell her he paid for it. What he paid and what she thinks could be two totally different things. I'm with @RDFTS and that's also why all my vehicles are in my name exept for one. You never know when your woman is going to loose her mind when she's pissed at you lol.
