Thanks for that.....after reading it i wonder if i should push for them to replace them all. I mean if the replacement part is a newer design, the originals are known to be problematic and im going to have to wait 2 - 3 weeks for 1, why wouldn't they want to do them all and not have to deal with it/me again? ...suppose I would have a leg to stand on if I tried for this? .......

Ummm that would be a big fat NO! , not only is it not fixed yet, but 3 weeks in they are still trying to find the part!! Bet I could find it on eBay!! Called the dealer this morning and I was told they thought they found one, it was suppose to ship out last Friday BUT that was the last they heard. Never got a shipping confirmation or the part. Going to check and call me back.

And for additional fun, my attempts to call the local CSR that Crystal got involved has proven useless and all I get is her answering machine. I've left a few messages but haven't heard anything back. I don't think there's much she can do anyway, not like she makes rocker arms in her basement. I would like to talk to her about this months payment though ... but am not holding my breath on that either.

Seems there's little anybody can do other than wait for one to show up somewhere.

edit to add; 12:45 dealer called me back, and said again "that the part was supposed to ship, should be here any day but no way to track it so it's a wait and see" ...I don't see how there would be no tracking available but again...nothing I can do but wait.

Do you still have the loaner ?

Hell ya! Only way they are getting that back is to trade me my truck for it. Now I've given them some slack and haven't ******* at them (the dealer) that much about this because it's not their fault that 1, it broke, and 2, the part isn't available, and 3, they did give me the loaner (be it a old man car) BUT at the same time it did take the better part of a week to get said old man car, AND a full week to diagnose the issue but that is what it is.....
Ford Mo Co on the other hand, I'm not so happy with. I believe car manufactures are supposed to have parts available for their cars up to 10 years after production. And this is way under 10 years...and it's a freaking F150!! IF I'm not mistaken, Ford DID make a few of them in the past. Not like I'm looking for a part for a 88 Fiero Formula ...(which I own 2 of :crazy: and can easily find parts for) ...but I digress...again, nothing I can do but sit on my hands and wait.

Hung up, tried to call my local CSR....straight to voicemail yet again. Didn't bother leaving a message, she hasn't returned the other 3 or 4 calls so why bother.... :banghead:

BUT I was pleasantly surprised when the service manager DID call me back and informed me that the parts had arrived! :party36:
Unfortunately they won't have it ready for me until next Monday which sucks ... but at least there's some light at the end of this tunnel.

Trust me I want to but like I said, he didn't make the rocker that failed and not his fault they are hard to come by. I am pissed at Ford though. that damn customer service rep that Crystal put me in touch with never returned 1 of my damn calls and never answers her phone, always straight to voicemail.

As long as I get my truck back today fixed and there's nothing wrong with it from sitting outside the dealership for 2 weeks I'll be happy. But if I find 1 ding, 1 scratch 1 anything that wasn't there before...you'll see me on CNN tonight

Still not done. Yesterday afternoon was told they are working on it but wont have it all buttoned up and ready to go until today...maybe.

Picked it up last night and other than some scratches on the fender from somebody leaning into the engine bay (should buff out), all is well.

When I asked if they were going to make this months payment for me since it was day 2 of week 4, I was told that they couldn't do that at the dealer level. I'd need to take it up with Ford Co.
AND since the CSR Crystal put on the case never returned 1 of my calls...guess I'm SOL on that too.
On the plus side...When I got home my 4 - 6" CREE light cubes and 20" bar were waiting for me on my front steps. Now I can post on the fun threads! :D
