Very odd indeed. There are probably just as many broke 40+ year olds as there is well off 22 year olds. What does age got to do with it. Now I can see if a 16 year old went to a dealer with his 16 old friend and wanted to take a test drive but if that same 16 year old was with his dad, then I would find it odd that no test drive would be allowed.

Can't the salesman go with you, most of them do and if with your dad too being the 3 of you, then a dealer is crazy stupid business people.

EDIT: I ordered my raptor, never test drove one before nor even stepped inside one until I picked up my own. No regrets what so ever.

First off, find another dealer. That attitude by any dealership/salesman is ridiculous, that or ask to speak to a manager. When in doubt always go over their head.

Second, I bought my Raptor without ever having driven one. I rode in my friend's truck and that was good enough for me.

Third, I wouldn't get too hung up on color. You can always wrap it later for not a whole lot of money.

Best of luck in your search I hope you find a truck.

Edit: Just buy this one and call it a day

What dealerships are you dealing with? I know Russ Milne in Mt Clemens always has used Raptors, but they are very high price dealership. They offered me $30,000.00 trade in on my 11 and wanted sticker for a 14. Suburban in Sterling Heights has had used Raptors on their lot. They gave me $40,000.00 for my trade and $2000.00 under sticker. They always seem to be the most reasonable when shopping for cars and trucks.

You don't need a test drive. Find one with the options you like and buy it over the phone. You won't regret it. Drive it before you sign the papers and if you find something you don't like, walk away. There are more out there. When you call the dealership, ask for the fleet or internet salesperson.

Damn man that sucks. I remember when I was in my teens I test drove the shit out of cars. Possibly because of ***** like me that people encounter these stupid issues. I know it's a hassall but keep looking. If a dealer says no then move no or talk to the manager. It's discrimination.
