I really hope you get some constructive feedback on this question. Probably will get ugly quick but maybe some useful info before it blows up. Sounds like if you have time before you need to make the purchase it would be best to ride in a truck with Icons. Any chance you can arrange that?

Have done a ton of looking into this myself and am waiting for a couple things to happen before I pull the trigger. Doubt you could really go wrong with either company. As far as on road ride quality I am pretty sure Icon is addressing what some people consider an issue. Fox has some new changes recently too I believe. Good luck with the choice.

You should have had Mark take you for a ride. Although he has alot of preload in the front right now.

I got your preload right hereeee!!!

Just met with Mark on Sunday to buy his rear WSI rack. Didn't have time to go for a ride though.

If it's a 90% DD, then why mess with it? Why go 3.0s? Why go mid/top perch? Leave well enough alone. It's a smooth street ride as is and can handle enough off-roading.

I would say upgrade your rear springs, if you haven't yet, and then leave it as is.

Why put the money into a 90% DD? How crazy are the runs you go on off road?

Have you invested in a radio and Off Road NAV yet?

I already bought +2 leaf springs, because i dont like the axle wrap issue the truck has.
Locking the rear diff get even worse.

Not the runs i go offroad, just by driving on the road on my way to the work and chicken farm is enought, btw i have not been at the shrim farm with my truck since the dust is pretty dusty right there. It will rust any part of my truck if i dont wash carefully.

I dont need radio and gps where i live you cant go too far, only by utv mx and atvs.

Those fox 3.0 dsc will be great on a dual suspension system with QAB bypass suspension vs the icons that already had knob adjustment.

Out of 5,000 miles do most people really spend more than 500 of them off-road? Unless you're Raptor is only an off-road toy I would imagine not. Not trying to be a **** but I don't think asking about aftermarket shocks for a rig that spends more than 90% of the time on the road is out of the question. :sexywiz:

So the OP states its 90% DD, and wants it soft on the road. well some might want to go to mid perch and call it good. Can go have fun at the runs, Snoball no problem. Have not done Havoc, but TRR would be ok as long as you take it easy. There is the rub. Your right foot will most likely get heavy and there ya go, not so happy anymore, or at least wanting more, more of everything. Mod fever strikes Lol.

So if you are sane and stick with its 90% DD, it's a good. Or...ya going want 37's, and more shocks to take the big hits and and...the fun begins.

So does the fine tuning no matter what brand you pick. What load you hauling? Two spares? Rack, jack and ?...tire pressure? +2's, +4's to hand the load, get the stance right?

Somehow what was once soft becomes harsher when on the street, but its not perhaps the concern it once was.....cause all you think of is that next event...and what upgrade you might do next. And there is always something new to consider ...no mistakes, just choices. Enjoy and hit as many events as you can, fun fun fun.

For me, I am very happy with my Icon setup. And I am still working toward the next level, what ever that is....and she will always have some street shoes , will not loose sight of that.
