Hey guys!,
i recently had to change my factory tires (for the second time at only 24,000KM) and when i went to my local tire dealer they had special tires displayed just for the ford raptor.
They are Good year duratac, and i have never heard of these tires before, all i hear about is the toyo ones (which is not available in my country :'( ).
but these tires are really expensive, more than double the standard BFG tire price!.
have you guys heard of these tires before?
How are they better than the standard tires and are they better than the toyo tires?
Are they worth the insane price?

P.S the tires are 2780QR which is about 770 us dollars each

Hell no they're not worth twice the BFG's. They wear quickly and unless you're driving in snow and ice I wouldn't waste your money.

i agree with Madcow on this one i had a set on my work truck and they only lasted 25000km. they would be ok if you stud them and only used them as winter tires and i don't think you need winter tires so stick with the toyo's there a good tire.

I've heard a lot of good things about the Duratracs. I know there are guys who run them around my area and love them. But for double the price of the BFG's that's a stiff deal. BFG's are really high. They are higher than the Duratracs here I do believe but someone correct me if I'm wrong.

The Duratrac's are great tires, I love mine. Although I haven't experienced this, I heard they don't mix well with hot temperatures and highway use. Not really an issue for me where there is snow on the ground for 6 months, but I see you're in Doha, Qatar which might be an issue. I would imagine it gets pretty hot there, so I probably wouldn't get them for that reason. That and the ridiculous price.

thats what i found with them. i ran them starting in the winter and where good for the winter but when summer hit they didn't last very long. thats why i said they would make an all right winter tire if you studded them. i used them in all kinds of conditions from offroad to hyw.

What i've found is there hit or miss the guys that have them or have run them love or hate them. i have the MTR's on my work truck right now and so far there not bad but don't have many miles on them so really can't say.

Ok, as an off-road tire. I liked them a lot. Traction in just about every situation I ran into out in the desert. They are a soft compound so spinning will tear them up though.

On the road. They're pretty quiet and they ride nice. Problem is, if you live somewhere hot like me (Phoenix, AZ) they're gonna wear out FAST. I put them on this time last year and am looking at getting new tires already. During the heat of the summer they'd get almost gummy and leave tread prints right up my driveway. I see you're in Qatar, so you know all about the heat I'm talking about. I'd steer clear if you want a tire that lasts.

I live in Oregon and have two sets; one for the summer and one studded for winter.
This is an absolutely outstanding tire for any situation!
Prize should be around $290 each.
