I cannot speak on the behalf of NYC or San Fran, but roads are pretty tight in ATL. It mainly depends on driver skill, which includes avoiding other bad drivers. You know, the ones that are turning left on the outer lane, but don't give you enough space to turn your long wheelbase, wide truck around the bend? Yeah, those ******** and more. I usually accelerate quicker to get my proper placement before they start turning so that they do not turn too early.
Parking... that really depends on the area. I've been to NYC, and a lot of parking is street parking and lot parking. If it's a deck, just watch out for clearance. Also, there are some very narrow decks... just take your time and do multiple point turns if you have to.
