I’m thinking 500 foot pounds of torque, maybe a tick over. It takes about 7.5 liters using “old school” tech to get this level of torque, new tech I think they’ll be able to do it with this 7.3.SDs are still slap-yo-momma ugly, but the refresh is a step in the right direction.
Cam in block, pushrod! **** yer 4ft long timing chain! (GM guys laugh in unison)
Port fuel injection only.
Should be 500 HP easy just scaling the 6.2 to a 7.3. I'm gonna say at least 510 HP in the SD.
"The reason 7.3L was such an important answer, is by optimizing the engine displacement to exactly what the customer needs, you don't have to buy other things to try to reach the displacement it should have been". - Engineering Manager for the new engine
Fancy way of saying, there is no replacement for displacement.
