I installed the tow mirrors with all options. My Raptor with the 802A package does not have the relays or wiring in place in the engine bay for the power telescoping feature to work.

So I have power folding, spot light, 360 camera, and BLIS but no telescoping feature.

I recently ordered a 2018 Crew Cab with 802A and all. I am frustrated that I cannot get the tow mirrors as I have three cargo trailers, all 8.5 feet wide, and need the wider mirrors to see around the trailers. The tow mirrors are available on Lariat with all the same technology options. Has anyone had any luck with getting Ford to allow a special order for the towing mirrors?

With this thread, I think the Raptor is being purchased by the wrong crowd these days. Just my .02!

I have to agree. The max towing capacity for the SCrew is 8,000lbs, 6,000lbs for the SCab. Simply put, these vehicles are not designed to be towing workhorses -- So Ford may have viewed the trailer mirrors as a misrepresentation of the purpose of the Raptor.

That being said, if you can add the mirrors via mod (which is clearly possible), it looks like a very solvable problem. And the trailer mirrors on the blue Raptor earlier in the thread looked a lot nicer than I thought they would.

I mostly agree with you on this. I feel more comfortable with the tow mirrors on my daily driver since I have them on my Super Duty as well. My 8.5x20' enclosed with dirt bikes and gear was about the max I feel comfortable with pulling. I did 1500 mile trip with this setup, but in the end I'll take the F350 next trip.

I originally posted this thread not because I wanted to tow, but because the tow mirrors I had on my 15 lariat were like class A RV mirrors and were killer with the lower concave blind spot mirror. So much so that when I drove my wife's Denali, I felt like I was blind, even with the GM blind spot warning.

That being said, after 2 weeks in my Raptor, I have adjusted to the BLISS but am still 2nd guessing myself when changing lanes.

The other thing I noticed, is that you might lose the side cameras under the mirrors if you swapped out to the tow mirrors.

At this point, not enough to justify the swap.

The tow mirrors on my SD were perfect for parking up alongside the curb since I had it set up so I could see each back wheel. For the people without 360 cameras, I can see how tow mirrors would be beneficial.

Just to be clear, the mirrors I purchased pictured above have the 360 cameras.
