My Mac 11 with lage upper fits in my console now I don't think it'll fit in this though.

Have you installed it yet?

Not yet. Got distracted with Christmas things like helping son buy a TTRS....little rocket....but my old knees still prefer my Raptor.

I installed mine last weekend. I took out my Console Vault brand one and replaced it with this one. Definitely like not tying up the whole console. Feels very robust. Installation was more work than the Console Vault, but wasn't bad.

Nice looking. I am going to have to get mine installed soon.

Installed mine today. Took a lot longer than I expected as you have to install and line up this small plate underneath the console for the bolts to go into. Getting my drill into the safe was a bit of a head scratcher. You might be better off putting the safe in, marking the holes, and then removing the safe to drill. They really should have included a drill template. Also had to really tighten down all the bolts to make the safe sit low enough in the console so that the console lid would shut consistently.

In the end it looks and functions great. Just feels like how it should be from factory.

Any updates after living with it for a bit?

Really like it. Still opens and closes really well. I wish it had an electronic keypad instead of the old fashion style it has, but it’s otherwise great. Got a set of small battery powered motion detector lights — one for inside the safe and one to help illuminate what’s in the tray. Side benefit that it holds the tray in place from sliding side to side. One of my favorite mods.
