Why is this clip here?

Any ideas on the purpose of this clip? There is one in each side of this bracket in front of the fuse box. Maybe spares?

I suppose those holes are used in another version of the F-150 for something. Maybe the eco boost? They probably just put the clips in so that you don't see holes, and ask: what are these holes for?.

I replaced that spot with a screw and bolt and put a relay there.

I was right, different versions of the F-150 have a shroud in that area. Here is a pic of a 2012 with a V6:

Those are speed holes.
