So I'm replacing the CV axles on my 2010 6.2. Finally get the passenger side off and new one in...and find this o-ring right underneath. It's about 1 3/8". Too big for the hub. Did it fall out of the UCA ball joint, the tie rod end, or somewhere else in the hub?

Opposite end of where the cv shaft seats, there's an O ring that sits on the base of that spline. There's videos on YouTube showing that it can sometimes come off when replacing the passenger side.

Thanks a ton. With the suction from the fresh grease, trying to pull the axle out again was almost as bad as the first time. But I definitely wanted to do it the right way.

Axle replaced, and new disc/caliper.
