I've never noticed this on mine. I'll go head outside and check in a minute to see if that's there stock

Went out and got these pictures off of the driver's side rear of my truck. I have a 2013 model.

It's a stock part. It's on my 2010 SCAB. There is an area toward the end where you can put a wrench on to remove. Mine was a bit rounded and corroded so I ended up just using a pipe wrench to remove. There have been past threads about it. I think it is there for vibration or something. The rear brakes were changes on the 2012+ and it was deleted I believe. Anyway it is stock. Just remove like any other brake caliper stud. Be sure to grease the guide pins during reassembly.

It's a vibration damper. It's supposed to keep the brakes from chattering. Not sure if it is really that effective. It has to be removed when servicing the brakes. If you pop out the plug on the back you can remove it with a torx.
