I found a really clean 1-owner 2012 with 44k miles. It drove pretty well, under carriage look really clean too, and even though it has some mods, it rides really smooth. First time Raptor buyer; any common issues that I should look out for?

Every single Raptor I test drove needed or would need their shocks / struts rebuilt. FOX mentions something about every 36,000 miles. Otherwise its just like every other F150 out there.

Never owned a truck before (Jeep guy). What's a good way to test out the shocks?

You can do a visual check to make sure there's no leaking, but Ford/Fox recommends rebuilds every 50k max with 100% on street use. Some rebuilders recommend them to be rebuit sooner. I mean you could push it further, but risk damaging internals.

There's a chance the previous guy could of rebuilt them, but no easy way of knowing unless there's a different decal than stock.

Yup I've reviewed all of those last night, so looks like I'm on the right track. Thanks!
