I cut the front left sidewall in a deep mud hole. Set up to change it on semi firm wet ground, put the jack on a couple of 2x6's, as more weight got on the jack, the 2x6's shifted slightly, sinking one side. The jack bent into a mild ( shape and locked in place, no up and no down. I needed the 2x6's out, so I drove it off the broke jack. Out came the the Hi-Lift to do the job right.
For the record, the KC Hilites light bar can indeed be used as a Hi-Lift jacking point, without too much bending.
I have used the stock jack to change tires about 6 times now, the only difference was, those were all on the rear and this time was on the front, on unstable ground.
