Aux Switches only on with power

I installed my fog lights today and was very disappointed to discover that the aux switches are only powered when the truck is on.

I am assuming there is no way to change this but thought I would ask?

I think this is disappointing considering I might want to use my lights for instance when the truck itself is off....

One reason is so Ford isnt responsible for a bunch of people running thier batteries down. Just go old skool and run your own fused switch off the battery. Preferably lighted so you dont forget about it.

I would invest into a cool flashlight?
