Hey guys,

Has anyone rebuilt an OEM UCA? I'm sand blasting and polishing (or powder coating) mine and as long as they're off i figured I'd replace the bushings and the upper ball joint (not sure if that's what it's called).

So my question is:
1. How hard is it to get the bushings/ball joint out?
2. Does anyone make good aftermarket parts or should I stick with OEM

thanks

Beadblaster would be correct, at least that was the case with my 97 f150 way back when. It was at the time 100 bucks per arm. I'm sure ford has not gone to being able to rebuild them now. I'm thinking of replacing mine with baja kits a arm when I do the rpg collar, not that it is needed though. I wish ford would have put special uca's on from the factory. We are paying enough for these trucks, what's a few more hundred for quality uniballs with there buying power.

There are cheap options out there. Might as well buy some sick ones
