Maybe Mike can clear this up for us. When I had a superchips in my 04 and went in for inspection they could not read my computer and knew I had a tune in. It took a couple days after returning it to stock for the module's to reset so they could read it, at least thats what they told me. Now Ive read stuff about these new tunes and the dealership not being able to detect it. Mike, is there any truth to that ? Should we worry about returning it to stock everytime we go to the dealership? John, to help you with your question, I do know that if you have a tune and you go to the dealer for warranty work they would have to prove that the tune was at fault for your problem. I can also tell you that the 5star tune made my truck much more enjoyable to drive. Better acceleration, throttle response and firmer shifts.
