Everything about this truck and project has been researched more than I ever thought possible. That being said, I consider the James Baroud tent a mistake but a good one to make. I also ran into an issue with the west coast dealer that really turned me off from doing business with them all together. They sold an awning I had spent two weeks waiting for a response for. I’m glad I learned what I did from it. Onto more positive things! The Bush Company tent is absolutely incredible. I can kneel in it at 6’ 2” and it’s a lot easier to close. I love it. It’s warm when it’s in clamshell and breezy when it’s fully open. Hell, if I put the windows down in clamshell it’s super breezy. I will post a full thing about it later when I have more time in it. When it’s closed, it looks like it fits on the truck and blends in. Especially a lot more than the white. I would prefer to use the mounting brackets for the Leitner rack but this tent is heavy and had to use a different mounting system. Maybe one day that can be fixed. I wanted to also say a couple things about the vendors I’ve been working with. Cascadia Vehicle Tents (CVT) and Offroad Alliance have been awesome to work with. SVC is on that list but my parts haven’t come in yet so I haven’t dealt with them in person. I’ve messaged many vendors and appreciate it greatly when someone else takes an interest in the build and answers all the questions I have. I highly recommend these vendors because they’ve spent a lot of time working with me on what the goals are. I totally forgot to add to OP that my wheels are Methods. Really enjoy them too And pictures!
