You bolt the brackets on the outside of the grill supports, bolts facing out, I used some loctite since the kit doesn't come with locking washers or lock nuts. Using the brackets as a template I drilled a 1/8" hole & a 7/32" hole on either side (hole size is NOT listed in the directions.) Using one of the inner mounting tabs I partially screwed the driver's side on using the 1/8" bolt. Leave it it loose and you don't want the bolt to stick through the tab. apply some thick grease to the tab's teeth. Take the other tab and apply some thick grease to the teeth and stick it on the light. take the light (cord side towards the hood) and insert the driver's side end in first (to the tab that's loosely installed) and then slide the passenger side end in lining up the holes. hold the passenger end with on hand and start the larger bolt by hand (it's much easier to use the larger bolt one handed), but do not tighten. (repeat for the other side) While loose the light still will remain in the mounts and you can "adjust" the mounting tabs by hand. Put some lock tight on the small bolt and run it in tight & tighten the Driver's side as well. once the tabs are locked in place you can rotate the light to your liking and then tighten the larger bolts down. You have to add 12ga wire to the stock length cable since it's only about 34". I added another 36" with weather proof butt connectors and then wrapped it in electrical tape. I ran the wires behind the hood blanket and then through the hood vent hole along the hood ground. then I fished the wire under some existing wires to the underhood bundle. I also ran to a common ground on the inner fender. Hope this helps.
