I have seen a lot of back and forth on this, and at least part of my reason for writing it up was to show that this is a step beyond your average bolt on mod. Not to scare people away, but I think it is just out of reach for your average shade tree mechanic. ---------- Post added at 07:25 AM ---------- Previous post was at 07:24 AM ---------- Thanks, would have been nice to get more pictures, but it also sucks to pull your gloves off and clean up a bit right in the middle so you can grab your phone and get a shot. ---------- Post added at 07:29 AM ---------- Previous post was at 07:25 AM ---------- I look at a few things in mods, one of them is horsepower per dollar. Early on in the game, it is easy to do a few things to get gains. First and foremost are letting the engine breathe better, since it is a big air pump. Freeing them out benefits twice, as you gain power by freeing up air flow, but you also let the turbo work easier with the better flow. My setup will be the exhaust adapters, intake, and a tune. I feel the combo all together will make for a nice setup, not just in peak horsepower, but in efficiency, responsiveness, etc. This should allow more net horsepower down the line, in addition to the tune. I do not plan on replacing any of the exhaust, as they are true duals stock, loud enough stock, and aftermarket pipes sound awful, I think the adapters are a good and cheap way to open up the exhaust flow.
