So I got my proclip and RAM stuff in today. So far so good, they didn't include the monitor support like I asked so I'm going to have to live without it for now but hopefully I won't need it too badly this trip. Proclip Adjustable mount: ProClip Monitor Mount: Monitor Mounted: Ram Mount, Laptop Tray, Tablet Tray, Vesa/Monitor Mount: If you decide to install one of these I found a Bic Pen top was really helpful applying opposite pressure to the nut inside the housing. You can tell that this is a new design and the laptop tray is a much older design (not much different from what I had on my Excursion 6 years ago). This new model only requires a screwdriver and has some clever tricks for installing the springs. It is smaller so its perfect for netbooks, tablets, monitors etc and has a few different tabs depending on what you want to mount on it. Lower weight translates to less movement/shaking. I also have to be ready to accept any size monitor a director/dp might ask for. Monitor attached with battery bracket still attached on rear (allows access to menu buttons located on the rear of the monitor. Ram mount base (what stays in the truck at all times) What the extension arm looks like... Laptop Tray mounted for driver... Laptop mounted for driver... Laptop mounted for passenger...
