Ahh interesting, I didn’t realize they cut compression travel in the shock. Makes the bigger bump stop make sense to prevent slamming the shock.
Seems crazy since the 35 trucks don’t seem to have rubbing or bottom out issues with 37s.
Semi-related question here. Has anyone compared the 35 and 37 shocks side by side? It seems like the reduced travel on the 37 may be attributed just to a taller bump stop, not a completely different shock with reduced travel.
Since the 35 trucks seem to fit 37s with no problem, it seems to...
IMO RE in SoCal right now is gambling on capital appreciation. The cost vs rent delta is way outside what I consider making sense. Someone is going to get caught holding a nasty hot potato. I’ve gotten out of everything I bought post 2013. All the 2009-2013 stuff is fat and happy on the...
I hope they are a huge improvement, the gen 2 lights leave a lot to be desired.
Directional lights are awesome, but man, be sitting down if you ever need to replace one. They are $$$$$
37s look cooler, thats it, end of story.
How many people pull 30k lbs with an F350, or take a Z06 or GT3 to the track?
I’d bet sub 5% in both cases, but they sell a shit pile of them all.
Give customers what they want, not your job to sort out what they “need”.
They want to minimize combinations. As it appears the 37 trucks will all be extremely similar builds so that streamlines the whole production process.
I’m 100% with you guys the blue interior sucks. I’d pay more to get the recaros with an all black interior. Keep the orange stitching but...
Have you been paying attention for the last 10 years? This is the MO for virtually every car company. Hell Ferrari hits you for $4k to add CarPlay lol.
That’s some bizarre cross shopping. I have a duramax and while it’s a great truck, the new ones do nothing for me on multiple levels.
Diesel shopping, Ram 3500 single wheel (because it gets the HO and Aisin, where the 2500 is detuned) or a 6.7 F250 would be top of my list.
Throw $5k at...
There are so many inaccuracies in this post, I almost feel bad if you actually believe them. The FGT being the most egregious reasoning.
But whatever makes you feel better.
I’m fine with them making the 37 be exclusive to the 802A, at least the first year. But damn let us get a standard black interior.
If the Recaros just had a blue center or trim It would be easier to stomach, but the dash, console, etc is just too much.
Conventional is a standard bumper pull. Nobody putting a gooseneck behind a raptor (or any half ton IMO), leave that to the big boys.
11k WD will pull a nice dump trailer though and that’s a huge perk.
I get that 100% and love them. By Special I meant it’s not a limited run highly desirable vehicle that has a chance of being a collector item. Hell even the FGT barely hits that mark.
They are awesome, but it’s still essentially a production truck. Drive the wheels off it and enjoy yourself.
I don’t get this at all. You want one vehicle to maintain value, the trade off is not enjoying what you bought.
So you spend more money on a depreciating asset, more taxes, insurance, reg, maintenance, etc. And then spend more time in a car you don’t really enjoy.
It’s a raptor, neat but...
The other aspect, if you care, is the ram interior is miles ahead of everything else with a bed. It’s close to a nice German sedan.
Once Ford steps it up the Raptor will be the ticket. I love the look of the raptor and everything else, even fine with the V6, but the interior needs a big upgrade.
