With the turbos I was under the impression we really should run at least 91 octane. I can see how it would pull timing etc and detune itself, but isn’t at least 91 recommended?
Costco is tier one and it has been used exclusively in my truck for 3+ years now with zero problems. Only 91 available here in Arizona unless you find a boutique station for 7 bucks a gallon that I know of anyway….
Discount Tire and many others etc etc in Phoenix said absolutely have to remove the simulated bead lock rings. San Tan Ford accessories guys did it with rings staying on and did a fine job. No scratches worth talking about or that I even noticed. Now I didn’t Q-Tip the lug nuts, but I am pretty...
Since you started this with graphics….
Something I did on my white Gen 2 is I had satin black PPF put on the sides below the water line. It broke up the big look and gave me good protection. It also completes the black/magnetic line with the bumpers. I pulled off the stock steps and put on a...
Gotta give grace on two fronts:
First:I was born in NorCal and had to live in LA for a while, so I get it. Gotta give him tons of credit for even getting a Raptor-gotta drive forever to even find somewhere to do more than curb hop.
Second: We used to say “Hey, if it were easy the French would be...
My understanding from my dealer is also you don’t change the original factory code. You just add on your favorite codes to the original.
So if that is true something to consider…. The rocket scientists that stole your manual will have access to your truck anytime in the future if you don’t...
Longer term update:
My 2020 Scab is almost 3 years old now and I was crawling around under there recently and my answer is YES it’s true!!! I do the treatment once a year and it still looks new. What I said about the fogger is really true too. I used the spray can version once and it comes out...
I was told body shops get paid to turn in info to Carfax on wrecked cars. I can’t imagine dealer body shops don’t turn in info since I know from personal experience that the parts departments do.
I hope this isn’t the “forever” fix too. But given the option of having to choose between shutting off the engine or having all your families’ ski gear spread out over the last hundred miles on the way to a vacation like almost happened to me it’s an easy choice. BTW there is a lot more than a...
Thank you FordTechOne!!! Is this a reliable fix or do we have members that have had issues with inadvertent tailgate openings even after they completed the recall?
Just got the truck back from the dealership after completing the recall. Only thing I noticed was if the truck is running and in park the tailgate will not open either by pressing the release button in the tailgate handle or pressing the release button in the remote. Yes hi had the fob in my...
Whatever you do don’t let your VIN go through insurance!!!! Carfax will rip you come time to sell!!!!! If you use a body shop choose them very carefully. They get paid to turn in reports to Carfax!!!!! Police reports will hammer you through Carfax as well. Don’t ask me how I know all this for...
As a Taco owner for 20 years I gotta say the Raptor is WAY better! Talk about smooth Raptor ride! The Tacoma shook my teeth out in comparison. My wife hated the Taco ride-she steals the Raptor any time she can. With most vehicles you have to choose between mileage and performance. Not so with my...
