Ford 7.3 gas getting swapped in now

I’m still a happy customer. The Livernois cams are a tremendous value in my book. You must mean they are unaffordable? This is definitely a first-world sort of problem. Cams, and really most performance mods, are sort of luxury goods, not necessities. *Edited for a nicer tone. [emoji6]

Ford 7.3 gas getting swapped in now

Not sure about the “forgotten by the aftermarket” part, but my Gen 1 6.2l got cams from Livernois Motorsports has been amazing and trouble-free, and my 2017 Malibu wakeboard boat (and all the rest of their boats from that generation) had the marine equivalent of 6.2l Ford Raptor motors. Sent...

    New to Ford

I always had GM's before. My 2011 Raptor was my first Ford and I have been a Ford truck fan ever since. From having the guts to build the truck I always wanted, to not sticking the American taxpayers with losses on their bailout, they have earned my loyalty. And the community of people here...

    iPad mount for driver?

I'm sure some of you have already seen this, and it probably isn't what the OP is looking for, but it is so wicked cool it almost makes me want to remove my factory nav unit and do it! http://www.padgadget.com/2011/03/14/first-ipad-2-in-dash-install-on-ford-f-150-truck/...

Livernois Motorsports 6.2L Raptor Cam Swap Video

Cool! You'll love it. You'll be amazed at how much that combo changes the character of the truck. Combine that with how practical and comfortable the raptor is and you've got the perfect daily driver!

Livernois Motorsports 6.2L Raptor Cam Swap Video

Sorry keaton, I haven't posted any videos yet. You can obviously see and hear it in the Livernois clip, but I will try to get some video in a week or two. Any requests?

Livernois Motorsports 6.2L Raptor Cam Swap Video

I haven't discussed this issue with Livernois yet. They did say to feel free to bring it back for tuning tweaks after I had spent some time in it. It's not that big of a deal once you know to expect it. It reminds me of my old diesel pickup, except this is more of a surge when the idle surges...

Livernois Motorsports 6.2L Raptor Cam Swap Video

After living with them for a while now, I don't think I would want more aggressive cams. These are plenty for me. There's times (cold engine) when it sounds like it might stall, though that's never happened. The truck wants to push through your brakes at a stop if your not on them hard.

Livernois Motorsports 6.2L Raptor Cam Swap Video

Now that spring is here, I want to get my truck to a strip and do a review. Should do low 14's. Played with dynolicious a bit, but I don't want a ticket or worse. I'm liking the cams very much--the SW true duals/header combo sound awesome but I wish I could turn down the volume sometimes.

Livernois Motorsports 6.2L Raptor Cam Swap Video

I think you're going to love them. Are you getting headers/exhaust/intake too? I'm loving my truck. It's a beast now, though. It's definitely too loud now to be incognito. It sounds and feels like a race truck. I can't sneak out of work early. It's a little more of a handful to drive. When your...

Livernois released new bump sticks, lope inside!

No, they don't. The Ford Racing ones would, but Livernois' design does not.

    Air Aid Intake Lid

That is great Mike! I just had the Airaid installed on my truck and I was a little worried about how open it was. This is probably a stupid question, but would a cover change the airflow characteristics and require a re-tune?

    possible 2012 changes

    1. I would like to see the ability to turn off the incredibly annoying key-in-ignition chime. 2. Improvements to the productivity screen, like a gauge mode that actually displayed more than one item, a user customizable screen where you pick what you want to see, or at least a combination...

Looking for a 6.2L Raptor owner interested in a camshaft swap.... **discounted price**

A little update: a front LED bumper is heading from SDHQ to Livernois after it gets back from powdercoat. Along with front and rear lights, Livernois is also installing a set of +2" Deavers and adjusting the front shocks to the middle perch. And last but not least...I'm hoping they can take...

Impact Wrench Comparison Test with Ratings (Car & Driver)

Yah, if I were buying today I would do my homework on the ratings or reviews. I wasn't necessarily recommending Dewalt, although the little thing has chugged right along for me. I think the big difference now is in the battery technology.

Impact Wrench Comparison Test with Ratings (Car & Driver)

I have owned a Dewalt cordless impact for several years and it is my favorite tool. It even sends young kids running when it hits enough resistance and starts impacting!

Exactly what I have found. When it clicks, its full. I tried to top it off one time and after getting gas on my toes don't bother anymore!

I will admit this (along with needing more hair, a bigger schlong...the list of shortcomings goes on and on), if you can admit that you have never ran your own business (or at least share the mentality with those that have not).

Looking for a 6.2L Raptor owner interested in a camshaft swap.... **discounted price**

Each person can run the math on this and come to their own conclusion. Here's the way I look at it: for $5k, I am getting a full Stainless Works header/exhaust, an Airaid CAI, custom tune, dyno numbers, the first set of Raptor XT cams, all installed by one of the best in the business. The cams...
